Summary of Position:

Performs routine clerical, bookkeeping, and accounting work in accomplishing the financial functions of the company. Monitors incoming cash flow of the company which consists of reconciling check and credit card payments, entering information into the computer, monthly reports, and cash applications. Performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of the accounting department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform various accounting tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, along with financial statement preparation
• Run & balance all credit card reports on a daily basis for Timeshare and Hotel activity
• Stamp, enter and scan all checks received at the corporate office for deposit on a daily basis
• Print and save all credit card statements on a monthly basis
• Prepares monthly journal entries to record credit card discounts, bank charges and chargebacks by the month end deadline.
• Prepares coding for all Accounts Payable (A/P) invoices and performs data entry tasks to enter and verify payment information from which the checks are prepared
• Collects, enters, and maintains proper documentation of employee expense reports and of renovations and maintenance project purchasing
• Sorts and distributes incoming invoices and purchase orders and assures proper back up
• Makes scheduled payment of invoices including printing, obtaining signatures, copying, and mailing of checks.
• Post and reconcile all checks, incoming and outgoing bank wires and transfers to MAS200, Intuicode and IQware as needed.
• Prepares all invoicing for corporate receivables on a daily and/or weekly basis and
• Investigates and responds to all credit card disputes/chargebacks before stated deadline
• Maintain accurate filing system for all closing reports and monthly credit card statements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must have 2-3 years accounts receivable and payable experience; Associate's Degree in Accounting
• Proven experience with accrual accounting and financial acumen and ability to interpret complex financial reports accurately
• Excelent written and oral communications skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to work well in a team environment and manage multiple priorities with strict deadlines in a fast paced work environment
• Hospitality industry experience preferred
