Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Billing Specialist. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, maintaining financial records, and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Answer phones in a friendly, helpful manner, provide information to callers or direct calls to appropriate person.
- Generate List of Loads for Revenue Allocation
- Complete Revenue Allocation for release loads
- Assist Night Dispatch with answering the telephone.
- Coordinates with manager on activities of personnel engaged in the intrastate and warehouse divisions.
- Make pick-up and delivery appointments when necessary.
- Create an Accessorial Breakdown sheet for lumpers and detention charges.
- Match delivery receipts with bills of lading. Make sure bills have signatures, dates, correct information, weights, case count and note discrepancies, rate bills according to classification and weight, and freight billing.
- Reporting to the Billing Department and Dispatchers of lumper and detention charges
-Assist drivers when they call in with problems, directions, appointments, and any driver issues.
- Create and submit invoices for certain bills to customers to their websites for payment processing.
-Assists in any office job responsibilities as needed.
-Enter orders in the system.
-Order entry, print freight bills, pallet tags and manifest.
-Invoicing includes scanning, mailing, and posting of invoices from customers.
-Scan and index miscellaneous documents as needed.
-Posting released loads every night
-Prepare invoices and mail to customers.
-Other duties and tasks as assigned.
-Shift is from 3pm to 12 am.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role
- Proficient in using billing software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and ten-key
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
