Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Acme Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Set-Up Operator to join our team. As a Lead Acme Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and operating Acme Machines to ensure efficient production processes. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate machines according to specifications
- Adjust machines to produce parts in conformance with blueprints drawings and quality standards

- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent malfunctions
- Perform tooling, installation and adjustments: cams, gears, threading, reaming, rotary, broaching, recess, shaving, form, cutoff, etc.

- Troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments to machines
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

- Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of screw machines

- Experience with Brass, Aluminum, Steel and copper Materials

Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Acme-Gridley Screw Machines is required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, must be able to adapt quickly to fixing things both familiar and unfamiliar
- Knowledge of materials handling and stamping press operations
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers
- Basic knowledge of hand tools for assembly and fabrication
- Forklift certification is a plus

- Reasoning ability, Ability to think, reflect and make decision to overcome obstacles

- Versed w/calipers, micrometers, gages...
