DPSI’s Administrative Division is seeking a dedicated and detailed Project Technician to join our team. This position will have a brief rotation maintaining the front desk. The major responsibilities are:

General Summary

The Project Technician provides essential support for various technical and administrative tasks in the execution of a wide range of projects ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in alignment with DPSI’s core values.

Essential Job Function

  1. Implement project tasks under the guidance of the Project Manager or project team.
  2. Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of tasks.
  3. Draft proposals and estimates for brief review by Project Managers. Compose and distribute meeting notes and routine correspondence. Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
  4. Conduct research, compile data, prepare reports, coordinate efforts for bids and permit submittals, and various client deliverables.
  5. Assist with or responsible for project cost tracking.
  6. Assist with report preparation and schedule tracking. May include light scheduling in MS Project.
  7. Coordinate travel arrangements for project related travel.
  8. Communicate directly with clients at the direction of the Project Manager.
  9. Ability to complete tasks with limited direction and supervision.
  10. Expected to complete approximately 85% or more billable work per week.
  11. Review work completed by others to check for spelling, grammar and company formatting.
  12. May assist with front desk duties as needed.
  13. Other duties as apply.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
  • Operate office equipment such as copier, fax machine, scanner, telephone system, etc.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Complete complex tasks.
  • Creative thinking and problem solving.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 3 years of experience. Industry experience is required.
