Field Fabricator Position

The core purpose of the Field Fabricator is to support the project by the cutting and fitting of galvanized and steel parts. The Field Fabricator will use proper equipment and follow all safety and site procedures while working on site.

Specific Responsibilities

• Prepares and lays out materials for cutting and welding.
• Position activities, including the following:
• Cut, fabricate, and shape metal materials to comply with drawings and sketches.
• Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/galvanized parts.
• Mechanically assemble or cut metals and bolt together equipment in compliance with drawings and designs.
• Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
• Ability to operate equipment to include but not limited to Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, and Areial Lifts.

Requirements

Education, Skills, and Experience

• Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum of 1 year cutting, fitting, and assembly experience.
• Thorough knowledge of the standard tools, equipment, materials, methods, and practices of the trade.
• Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of working on an active construction site.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel of other departments/trades.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to work from sketches, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment used on work assignments.
• Construction knowledge; high energy level; professionalism.

Position Information

Full Time position; hourly with benefits

By-Weekly Pay periods.

Work Schedule: 45 hours per week. Which may include evenings and weekends.
