Responsibilities

The Vice President of IT Services plays a pivotal role in leading the organization's Information Technology (IT) strategy and operations, ensuring the delivery of efficient, secure, and innovative IT services across the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of IT Services is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions. This includes direct oversight of all IT projects, network security, data management, and technology deployments including those within the long-term care facilities, aligning IT infrastructure and services with business goals.

  • Develop and oversee the IT department’s strategic plan in alignment with the organization’s overall business objectives.
  • Manage the entire spectrum of IT services, including but not limited to, data center management, technical service operations, help desks, network security, and the deployment of IT solutions within the healthcare facilities.
  • Direct the design, development, and implementation of systems and software to improve operational efficiency in support of exceptional patient care.
  • Lead the IT department's budgeting process, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for projects and operations.
  • Foster innovation in IT processes and systems to support the organization's growth and service delivery objectives.
  • Ensure the security of the organization's data and compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding information security and privacy.
  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and other departments, as well as with the Board of Directors, in matters relating to IT strategy and performance.
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for IT, ensuring the organization's preparedness for any eventuality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior IT leadership role, with a proven track record in strategic planning and execution in the IT domain, preferably within the post-acute or healthcare sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, data privacy standards, and compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PBJ, etc.).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Excellent leadership, management, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
