This person will be a customer service-oriented Desktop Support Specialist to support information technology services at the Broad Institute. You would be reporting to the Associate Director, IT.

This is a 3-month contract position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

● Responsible for assisting in upgrading computers to the latest OS, remediating endpoint management applications installation errors, and assisting with inventory management.

● Imaging, deploying, and reclaiming computing equipment to end users on a timely basis.

● Accurately record and update incidents on our ServiceNow instance promptly.

● Assist in developing, and documenting new procedures as well as suggest process improvements

● Respond to and update incidents, requests, and questions promptly.

● Oversee tracking and management of inventory.

● Other duties as assigned by their manager.

Minimum Qualifications

● Understanding of modern computing technology or equivalent training or experience.

● At least 3 years experience.

● Strong problem-solving ability.

● Be able to follow established procedures.

● Previous experience supporting Apple/MacOS and Dell/Windows hardware and operating systems in a fast-paced real-time work environment

● Previous customer service experience is strongly desired.

● Good written, verbal, and organizational skills with the ability to communicate at all levels

● Must be customer service oriented and have proven leadership abilities

● Experience with training technical professionals and end users

● Must be responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized

Desired Qualifications

● CompTIA A , Net Certifications

● Jamf 100 Certification

● Linux, or general command line experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

● Normal office conditions

● Can move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

● This is considered an on-site position, the employee is required to report on-site

● Working hours are 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Mon-Fri
