Our newly open pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a dynamic, family-centered and experienced full-time pediatric dietitian that will play a vital role in the health of the children.

The successful candidate must possess the following:

• Interdisciplinary collaboration & partners with parents/family to meet optimum nutritional requirement of the sick/rehabilitating child

• Assessment, screening, & coordinating nutritional menu, feeds amount & type based on disease process, calorie requirement, food preferences, cultural background including developmental stage from admission to discharge & preparation for home transition.

• Encourages & educates/counsel staff, child & family on healthy food choices

• Knowledge of formula and supplement used for the pediatric population up to 21 y/o and indications.

Qualifications & Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics a must

• Master’s degree preferred

• New York State required licensing/certification a must

• Two years experience as pediatric dietitian preferred

• Experience working with children with chronic/special needs preferred

• Computer literate, good written & verbal communication skills, & customer service

Compensation:

Competitive compensation ranges from $40,000-$55,000 per year.
