District Office is Hiring a MTSS/RTI SUPPORT SPECIALIST - 210 DAYS ( 2022-2023) (#270) Near Dallas, GA

Qualifications:

Must hold or be eligible for a GA SRT-4 Certification
Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience 
Demonstrated experience in effective and rigorous instruction and intervention, to include Tier 2 and 3 intervention
Demonstrated experience with leading professional development and /or program implementation
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

The Paulding County School District reserves the right to accept alternatives to some of the above requirements

Knowledge and Duties:
Ability to provide content specific professional development in varied content areas and intervention segments
Ability to coach peers for improvement of practice in instructional delivery, data interpretation,and intervention selection, in collaboration and school administration, school based MTSS/RTI teams, and district curriculum team
Knowledge of MTSS process and ability to develop, lead, implement, monitor, and collaborate with other educators in the school wide integration of MTSS /RTI to sup[port the whole child and promote intellectual, social, and physical growth in all students identified for intervention need
Follow federal, state, and district guidelines in accordance with legislation related to the MTSS/RTI process
Proficiency with data analysis and tools for data management
Proficiency required in communicating with key stakeholders and working to support both district and school MTSS/RTI teams
 
Essential Functions:
Expands professional knowledge of the MTSS/RTI process to stay informed about best practices
Serves as a member of the district and school based MTSS teams and attends regularly scheduled meetings
Collaborates regularly with district curriculum coordinators to ensure alignment between rigorous, effective Tier 1 instruction and interventions
Supports universal screening processes to identify students in need of support for remediation or acceleration
Supports school based MTSS teams in development and successful implementation of their MTSS plans, processes and procedures, for fidelity
Assists school leadership with planning and organizing data analysis sessions to evaluate literacy, math, and behavior intervention effectiveness
Reviews and analyzes student data to identify students in need of support for remediation or acceleration
Identifies research based interventions for students in need of Tier 2 and Tier 3 support
Supports the implementation of academic and behavioral interventions for students in Tier 2 and Tier 3 as needed
Supports and conducts progress monitoring of students in Tier 2 and Tier 3 as needed
Provides staff with coaching and support related to interventions, literacy by design initiatives, and math initiatives of the district as related to MTSS
Develops and delivers relevant professional learning to staff
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
This a 210 day position

Salary Range: State base pay plus local supplement based on degree and number of years of experience.
