Position Overview: The Part-Time Athletic Coach provides leadership, assistance and direction to a variety of sports. 

Fall: Cross Country, Flag Football and Volleyball (beginning August 16, 2021)

Winter: Cheer, Swimming (beginning November 1, 2021)

Spring: Baseball, Boys and Girls Lacrosse, Tennis (beginning February 15, 2022)

Compensation: Season Stipend

Qualifications: 

• Playing or coaching experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry orders and deliveries short distances.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Experience in a camp and/or school environment a plus. 
• Ability to stay calm in emergency situations
• Problem solving and analysis skills.
• Proactive with a positive can-do approach to work.
• Comfortable in a Mac environment. 
• Able to draft and create documents and spreadsheets. 
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work Schedule: 3:30pm - 6:00pm, plus some evenings and weekends. Details will be provided in advance.
• Instructs and demonstrates skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement in the sport.
• Supervise and ensure students’ safety during after school activities in gym, on the field, and on to and from away competitions if necessary.
• Writes practice plans for efficient instruction. Develops appropriate training programs and practice schedules.
• Assist in set-up and tear down for practices and games.
• Participate in dismissal procedures at the end of after school activities, ensuring that each child leaves with the appropriate adult (parent or authorized adult for pickup).
• Report student issues to supervisor(s)
• Professional communication with all stakeholders
• Embrace French, Spanish, and Chinese cultures by leading and participating in cultural activities for faculty and students (may include evening hours)
• Commit to environmentally sustainable business practices
• Other duties as assigned
