We have an exciting opportunity for a Guest Service Associate to join the Distinguished Vineyards, Markham team! Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, this role is responsible for delivering top-tier service and support to customers and members independently. With minimal supervision this person is adept with critical thinking, active listening, and personalized customer service to foster lasting relationships, boost sales, and enhance memberships. The role encompasses diverse responsibilities, including coordinating shipping, inventory, and logistics, along with managing customer-facing and back-end systems. Timely and comprehensive support ensures exceptional customer satisfaction. The associate also oversees POS/Admin training and provides on-site assistance to the tasting room sales team. . This role is based in St.Helena, CA ( hybrid) and is a Non-Exempt Part-Time position, working Sunday through Wednesday approximately 6 hours per day and the incumbent qualifies for our outstanding health care benefits, PTO, 401k plan, wine allowance and more!
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years customer service/wine club experience
Wine club processing familiarity (preferred)
Wine industry/wine knowledge experience (preferred)
Proficient with DTC wine software programs
Proficient with third-party shipping software (FedEx, UPS)
High school graduate
College degree (preferred
Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Provide best in class service and follow through
Deliver exceptional service as a main point of contact for guests and members.
Provide outstanding service with a focus on prioritizing members and VIPs.
Support Tasting Room staff on-site.
Cultivate strong, enduring relationships with customers and members.
Take ownership of actions and outcomes.
-Shipping, Logistics, and Fulfillment
Point person for handling all shipping, logistics, and fulfillment tasks.
Oversee order processing, exceptions, holds, and returns.
Verify shipping orders for accuracy prior to fulfillment.
Conduct regular inventory checks and data entry.
Engage in weekly inventory meetings and reconciliations.-Sales and Membership
Assist with sales, memberships, and credit card decline recovery.
Enter new member data, monitor, report and follow up as needed.
Participate in all wine club events.-Contribute to team cohesion and culture.
Attend team meetings regularly.
Actively relay customer impressions and attitudes to team members.
Prioritize safety and promote a safety-conscious environment.
