Discovery Outlet is a Locally Owned & Operated Discount Variety Store. We have been in business since 2018, and currently have 3 locations in Tennessee: Hixson, East Ridge and Cleveland.

We have new and different merchandise arriving weekly. We offer prices starting at 20% less than traditional big box retail stores, and pass savings onto our customers. Our plan is to grow through retail commerce by offering quality name brand products at a discounted price. We are looking for additional Team members.

Our customers are met with a friendly smile at the register, see a neatly stocked sale floor, and receive assistance with finding their items of choice. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintaining our clothing department with a team of 2-3 associates.
• Train/coach new clothing assistants to fit company standards.
• Inventory management through discounting & proper merchandising techniques.
• Clean and organize.
• Set up displays.
• Crosstrain on POS system to help with customer overflow.
• Ability to work a rotating, flexible schedule.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Follows safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow merchandise presentation guidelines as presented by store management.
• Ability to stock merchandise.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Previous clothing retail experience.
• Supervisor experience is essential.
• Customer service experience preferred.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Frequent walking and standing.
• Bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Stock merchandise.
• Ability to push and or pull carts.
• Handle containers, two-wheel dollies, and pallet jacks.
• Lifting up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds.
• Occasional climbing up to heights of six feet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
