Position:

Discovery Cube of Los Angeles, a science center in Lake View Terrace, CA, is seeking an experienced Janitor to join our Facilities team. Must be hard working with attention to detail and have experience working in a maintenance or janitorial position.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and stock bathrooms
• Maintain cleanliness of building and patio
• Empty trashcans, vacuum carpets, etc.
• Set up and break down for events
• Maintain maintenance shop cleanliness
• Troubleshoot exhibits and upcoming attractions
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, or in progress OR at least 1 year of facilities or maintenance experience
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge (email)
• Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Proven self-starter with minimal management
• Able to lift, push, or pull up to 25lbs. for short periods of time
• Focus on safety
• Must be able to safely bend to turn attractions/exhibits on or off
• Must be comfortable with change and a dynamic work environment with both low and peak seasons
