Job Title: Quality Engineer

Reports to: Director of Quality

Job Summary:

Perform a variety of tasks involving the application of efficient Engineering

principles to a multitude of various quality, production and office problems. Work

on special projects as needed to support the department.
Duties / Responsibilities:

•Performs standard Quality Engineering functions in an effort to achieve cost

reductions and work simplification in the Quality area.

•Conduct studies to identify and mitigate potential process failure points and

therefore, reducing the associated risk as a result.

•Conducts Process Capability studies to determine the extent to which the process

can meet engineering requirements.

•Conduct Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies to quantify the inherent

variation in a measurement system. This would include collecting data, analyzing

data, preparing reports and implementing recommended changes.

•Resolve Quality problems through collaboration with other engineering, technical,

and production personnel using root cause analysis and other problem solving

techniques.

•Participation in brainstorming sessions and other meetings for the improvement of

the Company.

•Playing an active role under the direction of the Quality/Configuration Engineer,

or others, within the Quality Function.

•All other duties as assigned or as required supporting the best interest of the

Company.

Qualifications:

Education/ Experience:

4 year degree (or working toward a 4 year degree) in an accredited Industrial

Engineering or Mechanical Engineering program.

ASQ Certification is

recommended.

Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the Company.
