The Packaging Machine Operator 1 maintains optimal operation of packaging lines. The Packaging Machine Operator 1ensures consistent production of excellent product packaging to provide the best quality possible for our patients.

Shift: WKD PM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6 PM-6 AM)

The Role

• Monitors packaging machinery throughout daily production runs.

• Ensures all necessary adjustments, changeovers from one product to the next & programming of machine throughout daily production runs.

• Ensures safe operation of equipment, which includes adhering to the startup, shutdown, steady state operation, and troubleshooting of the equipment.

• Performs basic equipment care, which includes thorough cleaning, inspecting, and basic lubrication.

• Reports all serious equipment malfunctions and the series of events leading up to the problem to the mechanic on duty in a timely manner.

• Maintains cleanliness and upkeep of packaging area.

• Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

• HS Diploma or Equivalent Required.

• 1 months of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Knowledge of basic computer programming and mechanical functioning.

• Must frequently lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

• The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell and reach with hands and arms.

• The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance.
