Job Description:The laborer will perform various manual labor tasks in connection with restoration, ditching, and drainage. Assists in installing, repairing, deconstructing, and restoring sites, digs trenches/ditches by hand, and helps to set/repair site surface. Assists with drainage tile tie-ins. Performs traffic control and is knowledgeable regarding international hand signals for traffic control. Acts as a safety spotter for Operators. May assist CDL Driver in securing loads on trucks and trailers.
Duties and Responsibilities:This is an entry-level position where the laborer is responsible for all labor tasks associated with our services capabilities. 
These various tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Installing erosion and sediment control devices.
  • Driving wood stakes into the ground with sledgehammers.
  • Applying grass seed. Fertilizer and lime to work areas.
  • Sweeping and shoveling mud and debris from construction roads.
  • Installing T-post and safety fencing.
  • Installing geotextile fabric below aggregate installations. 
  • Cleaning track equipment and helping to keep truck cabs clean.
  • Loading and unloading construction material and tools.
  • Spotting heavy equipment while in operation.
  • Removing debris from right-of-way accesses.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, shovels, and a variety of other equipment and instruments
  • Must be willing to travel within a multi-state area.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test (all candidates will be pre-employment tested).
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable.
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
Ideal candidates will also possess:
  • OSHA Safety training.
  • OQ (Operator Qualification) training valid on Veriforce.
  • Ability to operate utilized equipment with extreme efficiency.
