Dirigo Federal Credit Union is a profitable and fast-growing community credit union headquartered in Lewiston, Maine. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Servicer in our Auburn Operations Office. We are seeking a self-motivated, career-minded professional to lend with the vision, passion, and ability for exceeding the expectations of our member-owners. The primary function of the Mortgage Servicer is to be responsible for timely and accurate review, packaging, and servicing of all mortgage loan files. This includes the preparation of periodic loan accounting reports, loan payment processing and

administration; reconciliation; administration of insurances, annual escrow analysis, 1098 reporting, and accurate packaging and servicing of all mortgage files.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains mortgage information including payment postings, import and review of new loans, updating member information, processing payoffs, curtailments, monthly billing statements, adjustments, account research, etc.
• Responds to written and telephone inquiries from members with mortgage questions, inquiries regarding payoffs, change of owner, note modifications, beneficiaries, and other details of existing loans.
• Complete monthly submission to credit reporting agency.
• Complete monthly and annual financial reporting, annual tax and escrow reporting and analysis.
• Develop expertise in mortgage servicing software and ownership of the product at the Credit Union.
• Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, scanning, and computer input.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:

Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skills are considered essential:

• 6 months of similar or related experience.

• Strong member service skills.

• Knowledge of sales and relationship building skills.

• Knowledge and awareness of all credit union products and services.

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

• Knowledge of computers.

• Be trustworthy while working with sensitive information.

• Dependable- Ability to show up to work daily and on time.

• Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.

• Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following Credit Union procedures.
