DIRECTIONS CREDIT UNION is Hiring an Assistant Branch Manager Near Perrysburg, OH

Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of supervisory and branch functions.

  • Supervises the workflow of daily routine operations. Assists in directing staff in their daily work efforts. Help to schedules staff to ensure efficient workflow and high service levels.
  • Assists in supervising the opening and closing of the branch in accordance with set hours. Ensures branch security and tests security equipment regularly.
  • Provides staff with strong presence and gives staff confidence in their leadership abilities.
  • Ensures that operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies and with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists in managing the vault and ensures that the vault is secure at all times. Assists in monitoring vault cash amounts to ensure they stay within branch insurance limits.
  • Supervises the handling of cash and assists tellers with balancing problems.
  • Balances the Branch at the end of the day. Ensures all personnel are properly helping to close the office. Helps find teller outages.
  • Provides assistance to MSRs and serves as resource for resolving complex problems and issues. Authorizes overrides related to teller transactions that exceed their authority. Conducts branch orientation and training as needed. Presents positive outlook to branch staff. 
  • Supervises the ordering and counting of cash supplies. Maintains security of assigned cash.
  • Ensures that adequate supplies, forms and equipment are available for personnel.
  • Works closely with the Branch Manager in overseeing staff performance. Works with Branch Manager to complete performance reviews as needed.

Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of member transactions.

  • Assists in overseeing staff in opening and closing deposit accounts. Ensures proper regulations are followed. 
  • Assists members with Consumer and Home Equity loans. Approves loans within established policies and limits. 
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of IRA transactions. Handles complex IRA transactions. Knows where to find necessary information to complete any IRA transaction.
  • Assists members with Certificates of Deposit. Handles certificate corrections and assists members with detailed investment concerns.
  • Oversees research and problem resolution for members as needed. Provides written problem resolutions to members in a professional format. 
  • Provides signature guarantees as needed.
  • Is thoroughly knowledgeable about all of the Credit Union’s products/services, including mortgage products and business services.
  • Strives to exceed member expectations and anticipate needs through skillful questioning, listening, communicating benefits, gaining commitment and addressing member concerns.
  • Follows all established Credit Union standards, policies and procedures in serving members. Ensures branch staff members follow standards, policies and procedures in the absence of the branch manager.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective, professional business relations with members.

  • Employs excellent service skills to establish new member relationships, open new accounts and loans, conduct appropriate follow-up and assist members in solving problems.
  • Ensures that members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. Performs research or delegates research to staff as needed. Able to make a proper recommendation after detailed analysis of situation. 
  • Serves as an example to staff on building relationships. Actively suggests products/services of the Credit Union, or refers members to appropriate departments to help meet members’ financial needs. 
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of member information. Monitors staff to ensure they respect security of member information. 
  • Ensures that the Credit Union's quality reputation is maintained and projected.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with Credit Union personnel and with management.

  • Keeps Branch Manager informed of branch activities and of any significant problems or concerns. Ensures that concerns and problems are brought to the attention of Branch Manager in a timely and professional manner. Provides suggestions for improvements or changes.
  • Assists Credit Union personnel as needed. Assists MSRI, MSRII and MSRIII with complex problems and issues.
  • Serves as a model of excellent service. 
  • Works with Branch Manager to develop staff goals.
  • Completes required reports and records as needed. 
  • Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required. 

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

  • The employee is responsible for reading and shall strictly adhere to all the policies, rules, regulations, and training that have been or that may hereafter be established by or applicable to Company for the conduct of its employees, and further, Employee shall strictly adhere to all the provisions of the Company’s handbook(s).
  • Fills in and performs Branch duties as needed.
  • Regularly updates knowledge in products, services, supervisory knowledge and operational issues. Stays informed of related policy and procedural changes.
  • Ensures that work areas in the branch are clean, well maintained, and secure. Promotes positive image to membership. 
  • Attends assigned training sessions. Actively participates in training branch staff.
