Direct Wire & Cable is currently seeking a Tulsa Operator to join our team! As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in our operations at the Lancaster facility.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, monitor, and operate equipment associated with the high-speed coiling machine.
• Monitor and maintain factory reel and stock cable inventories.
• Operate a tow motor and perform high lift operations.
• Cross-train and become proficient in two additional production operator roles to fill in as needed.
• Maintain and oversee equipment, including the ability to splice cable and re-string the accumulator.
• Adjust controls and settings to regulate the speed of the machine, wire length, and coil size for maximum efficiency and production.
• Demonstrate mastery of scan gun processing to label products for further processing, storage, or shipping. This includes handling issue/receipt and conversion tasks, as well as creating jobs and transferring materials in the ERP system and receiving reels.
• Operate the strapping machine to coil cable prior to packaging.
• Be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Report any deviations or quality issues to the Manager.
• Assist in cross-training and effective communication within the team.
• Handle advanced packaging and labeling of finished products.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret routine instructions
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization
