Responsible for coordinating, facilitating and integrating the optimal provision of cost-effective service on the units. In conjunction with this, other responsibilities include providing clinical expertise, customer service, and service recovery techniques. Full complement of management responsibilities include planning human resource management, financial accountability, quality assessment and improvements, including regulatory compliance. This position requires 24/7 accountability to the units. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent work experience required. Licensed to practice in the State of Michigan. Two years experience as RN Staff Nurse with demonstrated leadership required, preferably work experience concurrently in appropriate specialty area. Ability to meet all behaviors of the RN Staff Nurse job description. Ongoing continuing education required with national certification preferred. Position requires RN to be familiar with hospital and department policies and procedures, accepted methods of requisitioning ancillary department service work, and familiarity with the medical staff. This knowledge is normally acquired through 1-3 months of orientation time. Must maintain current nursing knowledge and BLS certification and required CEUs for relicensure. Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission, and vision of MHP.This position is a OB/Peds ManagerAt least 2 years experience BSN Leadership Postpartum Specialty ExperienceMother/Baby Specialty ExperienceIDEAL CANDIDATEOur ideal candidate would be someone with a BSN with at least 2 years of Staff RN experience with leadership experience. Ideal experience would be in the following areas: postpartum or mother-baby.
