As a home health speech language pathologist you provide one-on-one care to a patient in their home.
Your duties are to help them manage or treat issues related to language and communication difficulties, problems swallowing, and help overcome cognitive disorders that affect their ability to communicate.
Your responsibilities include communicating with the patient’s physicians and care providers to determine a course of treatment. Home health speech language pathologist also work to individualize their treatments and use the familiar environment of the patient’s home to improve outcomes.
