Diocese of Green Bay is Hiring a Faith Formation Coordinator Near Oneida, WI
- Practicing Catholic. Must belong to and participate at a Catholic Church.
- Is present at all Faith Formation Classes, retreats, and gatherings.
- Recruit catechists.
- Prepares and sets up for in-services and other catechist activities and socials.
- Purchases and distribute Christmas and other remembrances to catechist.
- Schedules facilities with parish secretary for class time and other activities.
- Helps maintains the Losec program. Protecting God’s Children.
- Plans yearly calendar of classes, meetings and other activities.
- Attends Staff and Team meetings.
- Attends Finance and Pastoral Council meetings as needed. Makes them aware of any budget changes.
- Identifies program needs.
- Keeps and updates as needed an inventory of textbooks, supplies, bibles and audio visual materials.
- Maintains updated curriculum and makes needed additions or changes.
- Plan in service projects.
- Runs off all material as needed for meetings, class night and retreat. May ask assistant for help if needed.
- Evaluates sacramental programs as needed.
- Purchases supplies for the assistant to ready the classrooms and catechist needs.
- Providing for children: Certificates for attendance, learning prayers, sacraments, act of contrition, etc.
- Communicates with families through email or mail.
- Works with assistant to train volunteers.
- Plan special activities.
- Find replacement catechist when a catechist is missing.
- Registers student enrollment. Collects and record fee.
- Keeps updated records on parish soft. May ask for help from assistant.
- Records attendance.
- Updates family and student files.
- Helps communicate through bulletin, telephone, television and personal conferences.
- Communicates with diocesan religious education personnel and organizations.
- Establish open communication with parents concerning their role as primary educators.
- Works toward certification and renewal.
- Attend diocesan workshops and in-services.
- Schedule time for professional reading and spiritual formation.
- Participates actively in personal faith development and renewal.
- Attend all workshops and training that pertain to Protecting God’s Children.
