Diocese of Austin Catholic Parishes is Hiring a Liturgy Coordinator - Part Time Near Hutto, TX

We are looking for a part-time (15-25 hours per week) Liturgy Coordinator.

The Liturgy Coordinator's primary role is to ensure that those who come to St. Patrick feel welcomed, feel loved, and that they receive Jesus Christ because everyone is part of the family. Moreover, part of the role of the Liturgy Coordinator is to help others be spiritually fed and become inflamed with Love for the Lord through the prayer of the Church, so
that they may then go out and "make disciples of all nations" (cf. Matthew 28:19).

About the Job

We are looking for a Liturgy Coordinator who is a joyful missionary disciple that loves to serve the Church and is able to handle and manage administrative responsibilities with our liturgies and worship and furthering our mission at St. Patrick. The Liturgy Coordinator will work closely with the pastor, parochial vicars, Deacons, Parish Business Administrator, Music Ministry Coordinator and other staff members and volunteers in fostering one of our core values of building a culture
that exhibits generous hospitality.

Liturgy Coordinator

a. Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic ministry and the mission of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in both professional and personal life. Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church. Continuously grow in ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directed. Such as: 1. Watching informational content on Formed. 2. Reaching out to Pastoral Center for Liturgical material.
3. Taking continuing education classes.

b. Plan, coordinate, assist with and attend liturgical and devotional celebrations.
i. Work with Liturgical committee, Ministries and/ or front office to schedule them.
ii. Schedule ministers.
iii. Prepare Liturgy planning forms.
iv. Order supplies for the Liturgies.
v. Every Monday Make sure that the weekday sacristans have what they need for weekday liturgies.
vi. Plan & Schedule annual penances services for Advent & Lent & reach out to retired priest to help serve.
vii. Prepare the weekend Prayers of the Faithful & Mass announcements &/or work with Deacons to prepare them in both languages & modify in accordance with the priest suggestions.
viii. Prepare monthly/or quarterly Mass count sheets for weekend liturgies as well as special feast days and celebrations.

c. Plan & coordinate with Faith Formation department the faith formation liturgies.
i. Schedule Ministers
ii. Prepare Liturgy Planning form
iii. Do an inventory check & supply order is needed, example baptismal white garments if needed.
d. Plan, maintain, and evaluate the schedule of clergy and liturgical ministers, in close collaboration with Priest and ministries leaders.
i. Work with our pastor to create and schedule the quarterly liturgy calendar.
ii. Reach out & work with the retired priest or priest of the deanery to fill the calendar or for assistance when our pastor need fill ins.
iii. Work with the Liturgical committee heads of ministry to coordinate and schedule liturgical ministers for weekend, daily and special liturgies.
e. Organize and attend the monthly meeting with the liturgical ministry leaders and provide them with up to date information in a timely manner.
i. Work with the Liturgical Committee, which is comprised to the heads of all the liturgical ministries & the pastor, to plan & coordinate the liturgies for the month & the setting of the church (Arts & Environment)
ii. Fill in as a head of a ministry when there is need.
iii. Keep the LC up to date of any updates & announcements for the parish so they can in turn communicate to their respected liturgical ministries.
f. Recruit, train, and maintain volunteers for liturgical ministries.
i. Schedule, Coordinate, maintain & trail the liturgical ministers' annual Liturgical trainings. Train them on the policy & procedures of the parish.
ii. Would like to Schedule; Coordinate & Prepare a yearly Day of Reflection/Appreciation Day for all liturgical ministers, so that they can refill themselves with God's word & presence & also show appreciation for the liturgical minister.
g. Ensure that the liturgical worship space is adequately prepared for all liturgical and devotional celebrations and contact the front office for facility help as needed. Work closely with the arts and environment volunteer.
i. Work closely with Arts & Environment team to ensure the worship space is set up correctly and functional especially for special liturgies & in accordance with the liturgical calendar.
h. Ensures that liturgical supplies and vessels are adequately prepared for all liturgical and devotional celebrations (linens, vessels, candles, wine, communion hosts, flower, etc.).
i. Do the inventory for our worship spaces and order supplies as necessary.
ii. Work with the Altar Linen society ladies to make sure all linens are adequately prepared and ready for liturgical celebrations.
i. Plan, coordinate, and assist with funerals, including scheduling the presider and liturgical ministers for the vigil, funeral Mass, and bereavement reception.
i. Work & meet with the families & funeral homes to plan & coordinate funerals. Help pick out reading, explain process & guide family.
ii. Plan & schedule liturgical ministers for the funeral; vigil/rosary, Mass, Interment, & Bereavement reception.
iii. Create & prepare the Liturgical Planning for the funeral.
iv. Meet & guide family day of funeral.
v. Make sure worship space is adequately prepared and set for the funeral.
vi. Fill in as a Liturgical Minister though out service if needed.
j. Maintain a work schedule and full-time attendance according to established Parish business hours.
