The Service & Missions & Women's Campus Minister is responsible for the planning and execution of programs and activities related to the Catholic Center's campus ministry outreach. This position advises the UCC's local service and mission trip opportunities for UT students and provides women in campus ministry with opportunities for fellowship and formation under the mission of the UCC. The position reports to the Director of Evangelization and Communications and operates with wide latitude for the use of independent judgment and initiative.
Essential Job Duties:
•As an integral part of your ministry for the Church as carried out in this position, support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic ministry and the mission of the University Catholic Center in both your professional and personal life.
•Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church.
•Continuously grow in your ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directed.
•Be present before and after weekend Masses to meet students.
•Meet with students for spiritual accompaniment and pastoral counseling.
•Supervise assigned student organizations and coordinate regularly with student leaders.
•Attend weekly all-staff and Pastoral Staff meetings and collaborate with UCC staff.
•Develop programs for greater awareness of the Church's social teaching and coordinate UCC social outreach.
•Coordinate an annual mission trip.
•Coordinate and accompany UCC women on an annual discernment pilgrimage.
•Attend student organization events when possible.
•Prepare presentations occasionally to help in the intellectual and spiritual formation of the students.
•Serve as the staff advisor for the biannual Longhorn Awakening retreat with the assistance of the Associate Chaplain. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
