Program Statement:

Summit County Help Me Grow Home Visiting Program is a voluntary program that gives pregnant women and families the necessary resources and skills to raise children who are physically, socially, and emotionally healthy to learn. The goals of the program are to 1. Improve maternal and child health. 2. Prevent child abuse and neglect. 3. Encourage positive parenting; and 4. Promote child development and school readiness.

What You Will Do:

• Complete required Home Visitor credential certificate training. Provided by Catholic Charities.
• Build relationships with families to assess their strengths and needs. Connect families to community resources.
• Participate in ongoing recruitment outreach activities and events to promote programming and engagement of families.
• Accurately document in a state-wide database of services provided including billing.
• Regularly attend professional development trainings and meetings.

Experience

• 1 year(s): Experience and/or willingness to work with culturally diverse populations. Willing to engage in building reflective capacity.
• 1 year(s): Working with or providing services to children and families.

Education

• Associates or better in Social Work
• Associates or better in Early Childhood Education
• Associates or better in Human Development and Learning
