orHas completed the requirements for a Virginia certificate or license and has filed an application for same; orWill qualify for a Virginia certificate or license prior to the effective date of employment.Prior teaching experience and/or student teaching is strongly preferred.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.Physical RequirementsThis work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force.Work regularly requires speaking or hearing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms and repetitive motions and occasionally requires pushing or pulling.Work has standard vision requirements.Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly.Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound.Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities.Must be mobile enough to monitor students in all instructional settings (in school and on school grounds).Work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.Work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).Special RequirementsPossession of or ability to acquire appropriate license(s), certificate(s) and/or endorsement(s) for position as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia or School Board.This position may require the operation of division-owned/leased motor vehicles;
