At Ding Tea Lynnwood we are looking for a Barista that wants to join our team to make a unique experience for our customers. It is not just about preparing and serving boba tea and coffee. We are seeking those who want to be part of a artisan environment and master our craft. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, taking orders, making drinks, cooking in the kitchen, restocking and cleaning. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge but honestly attitude is everything. You should be able to work various shifts throughout the week.

This position’s compensation includes salary starting at $15.75 and tips. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests and the vibe of the tea house.

Requirements

• Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week. Ideal candidate can work 16-20 hours. Shifts are 3-4 hours and range from 9:30am to 9:35pm
• 6 month availability

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter
• Answer customer questions regarding the drink menu
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. Ice and sugar ratios, toppings, preferences of coffee blend)
• Prepare beverages following recipes
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Kitchen food prep & cooking
• Keep the bar area clean
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers
• Be able to lift and move up to 50lbs

Skills
