DINEAMIC MANAGEMENT LLC is Hiring a Prep Cook Near Chicago, IL

DineAmic Hospitality is hiring Prep Cooks at multiple locations! Prep Cooks ensure the skillful preparation of all menu items. This position plays a critical role in setting the kitchen up for success during service by having items properly prepared and organized. Candidates should have the ability to multi-task efficiently and maintain a positive and professional approach with team members. 

What You Will Do

  • Follow the prep list guidelines created by the Chef to meet business demands
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so that they are organized and easily accessible
  • Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
  • Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
  • Assist in preparing simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out
    trash etc. 
  • Maintain and comply with state sanitation/health regulations
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned 

What You Need to Have 

  • 2 years restaurant experience working in any form in a kitchen; experience in a fine dining establishment and/or high-volume restaurant preferred
  • Degree from a food service program, culinary school or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of all local health department requirements for safe food handling and sanitation standards; Non-expired Food Handlers Certification required
  • A passion for quality and respect for team members and guests
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks 
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance; Stand or Walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift; Complete tasks that require repetitive motion
