Job Summary:

Employees are paid an hourly rate and work a flexible schedule as required by workflow. Postal clerks engage in transactions with the public involving cash, mail, and inventory. The use of a cash register, credit card machine, and 10-key is required to ensure the accuracy of transactions. Employees sort and deliver mail to mailboxes located on-site. Changing merchandise displays and updated signage materials. Daily janitorial duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, window washing, and emptying trash as needed. Order, receive, and stock retail and operating inventory as required. Perform at least monthly inventory audit counts.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

· Customer Service Skills

· 10-key, Basic mathematical skills

· Cash handling

· Operate cash register

· Organizational skills

· Retail sales inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and audit counts

· Basic computer skills, including spreadsheet programs.

· Sweeping, mopping, dusting, window washing, and emptying trash as needed daily

Minimum Requirements

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· High school diploma or GED

· Repeatedly lift and carry parcels weighing up to 70 pounds and push heavy rolling containers

· Prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and reaching for up to 8 hours per day while carrying up to 70 pounds.

· Load containers that require bending while carrying up to 70 pounds

· Unload mail-drop container trays weighing up to 70 pounds.

· Must complete on the job training requirements

· Must pass a Pre-employment Drug Test
