Dillon Toyota Lift is Hiring an Industrial Battery Sales and Service Representative Near Nampa, ID

INDUSTRIAL BATTERY SALES AND SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Market Dillon Toyota Lift’s industrial battery products and services to new customers while maintaining existing relationships. Prospecting for new business to help grow our market share will be a key component to this position. You will also be expected to provide excellent customer service to our clients with timely follow up and clear communication. Provide technical support and training to the service department on battery maintenance programs and repairs as needed. Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain industrial batteries, chargers, and related supplies based on customer needs and desires.
Essential Job Functions and Job Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
  • Strong desire to prospect for new business.
  • Provide technical training and expertise on industrial batteries and related components to internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with DTL trainers to develop battery technician training program(s).
  • Work closely with key industrial battery vendors to develop and grow DTL battery business.
  • Grow and maintain customer base through positive interactions with customers, building and maintaining long term relationships through face-to-face contact, telephone, or email.
  • Actively pursue new clientele to expand the customer base and promote Dillon Toyota Lift.
  • Work closely with operations staff to ensure a seamless customer service approach.
  • Strong focus on profits and revenues while at the same time ensuring superior quality and customer service for both internal and external customers.
  • Conducts site surveys, develops sales specifications and quotes for equipment analysis.
  • Educate customers on use and care of merchandise, always promoting complimentary products and services.
  • Collaborate with sales coordinators to develop competitive quotes.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
  • Deliver equipment and supplies to customers when needed.
Other Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, promotions, and payment and exchange policies.
  • Maintain sales records, and call reports in the customer database.
  • Clean, organize, and keep work area free from clutter. Follow all safety guidelines at all times. Actively participate in meetings in a timely and prompt manner.
  • Meet with VP of Sales and Marketing as needed, attend training sessions, and continuously learn more about the sales industry to stay knowledgeable.
  • Engage self as an active member of the Sales Team, working to support the team’s objectives and performance measures.
  • Perform other job functions as assigned.
Job Specifications
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED. Prefer an Associates degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
  • 3 years’ experience in forklift battery, material handling, or Industrial Sales preferred.
  • Knowledge of material handling "system selling"
  • Or, any combination of education and experience that is necessary to perform the essential job functions.
Knowledge:
  • Operations – Demonstrate understanding of marketing, and lease packages.
  • Merchandizing – Exhibit orientation to product promotion and sales principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Planning and organizing – Prioritize and plan work activities, handle frequent interruptions, be organized, multitask, use time efficiently, and demonstrate a willingness to meet performance expectations.
Work Context:
Work will be performed in an indoor and outdoor setting. This position requires sitting for long periods of time, talking on telephone extensively, exerting up to 15 pounds of pressure, walking, stooping, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and leaning. Face to face contact with customers, as well as over the phone contact. PPE is to be used at all times. These requirements must be met with, or without, reasonable accommodations.
