DIGS Canine Hotel Spa & Daycare is Hiring a Front Desk Associate Near Brooklyn, NY

Job Description

  • Grooming Salon : Effective Scheduling of clients requests for dog grooming appointments. Responds to Clients questions regarding grooming services and overall DIGS services.
  • making our guests’ and clients’ experiences a safe and positive one every time. providing guests the ultimate in comfort and care. To give clients peace of mind and confidence in our business, service, and team. ensuring clients are receiving exceptional service
  • Administrative/Guest services : Welcomes every visitor/client/guest that enters the resort. Makes all guests feel welcome and is available to parents during check-ins and check-outs. Caters to each guest’s needs on an individual basis Maintains the overall cleanliness of the resort.
  • Educates clients and answers questions about our resort and services via telephone, e-mail, letter, and in person.
  • Provides a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for all guests. . Follows up on possible safety issues in a timely manner..
  • Conducts tours of the resort for potential clients and guests..
  • Stays current in general dog behavior and cutting-edge industry trends in order to provide exceptional care.

Administrative : Client Services Responsibilities and Duties

  • Welcomes every visitor/client/guest that enters the resort. Acts as the initial contact for all clients in person, on the telephone, and via email.
  • Checks-in and checks-out hotel and daycare guests.
  • Makes and confirms reservations. Sends out e-mail confirmation of reservations, when needed, in a timely manner and documents completion of task.
  • Sets up and maintains electronic and paper files. Oversees filing projects, including backfilling and cleaning files.
  • Communicates with other team members
  • Monitors daycare and hotel availability on a daily basis. Notes daycare capacity levels and adds clients to the hotel and/or daycare wait list as needed.
  • Takes guests to and from the play parks when they check-in and check-out, respectively.
  • Up-sells and cross-sells new and existing services.
  • Communicates with team members in all departments, adjusting file notes as requested. .
  • Supports managers and General manager as needed with ancillary functions.
  • Updates and changes Pet Exec messages as needed.
  • ensure clients receive exceptional service.
  • Creation and maintenance of grooming scheduling.

Social Media

  • Responsible for collaborating with social media team with input for Facebook page, Instagram and Pinterest suggesting content, posts fun facts & articles, photos,
  • Interacting with customers on all of DIGS social media platforms, helping to create brand awareness and positive customer promoter reviews.
  • Constant Contact e-news letters

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED, with continuing education in customer service, administrative//management, or related field preferred.
  • Pet First Aid/CPR certified or willing to acquire certification.
  • Previous dog handling and/or training experience.
  • .Previous client service, public relations, and/or administrative experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and take initiative.
  • Demonstrates safe working habits for oneself, other team members, the guests, and clients.
  • Possesses a positive attitude and is able to keep calm when working under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate with the public and team members in a positive and educational manner.
  • Previous experience in client services.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused, while meeting deadlines.
  • Reliable and friendly team player.
  • Works well individually and as part of a team.
  • Organized, flexible, and has excellent time management skills.
  • Creative.

Working Environment

  • Job duties are performed indoors while sitting and standing.
  • Occasionally required to leave the resort for short periods of time during all seasons.
  • An inherent risk of injury exists when caring for dogs. Although Ruffin’ It Resort provides thorough safety training and devices, team members may experience injuries as a result of dog bites, scratches, and/or other activity.
  • Weekends and Holidays may be required'

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
