We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to develop, deploy and scale web-based scientific software for genomic information processing and functional inference. As the first full-stack engineer on the team, you will be empowered to make critical decisions about the frontend and backend frameworks. You will be part of an early-stage nonprofit research startup that is driven by the mission to disrupt the way we interpret genomic data.Tatta Bio is a fiscally-sponsored project of Digital Harbor Foundation. Through a portfolio of projects focused on developing leadership within communities, Digital Harbor Foundation supports those closest to challenges to take deliberate actions based on a design thinking approach, backed by data analysis, grounded in a practice of collective impact, and driven by a commitment to racial equity.Education Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required. 
• 5 years experience in full-stack web development. 
• Track record of building intuitive and scalable web applications from scratch.
• Fluency in Python is required. 
• Experience developing scientific software is a plus. 
• Experience developing data visualization tools is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own the development of user-facing scientific software. 
• Design, develop and deploy scalable and maintainable web applications. 
• Set up the backend infrastructure that interfaces with cloud databases and machine learning pipelines. 
• Develop intuitive and interactive data visualizations and research workflows. 
• Work closely with the machine learning scientists and computational biologists to implement features.

This position is fully remote. Both full-time and part-time employment options are available.

Compensation

Compensation for this position is:

• Full Time: $160,000-$200,000 annually
• Part Time: $76 - $96 / hour
