digifabshop is Hiring an Architectural Woodworker/Journeyman Near Longmont, CO

Digifabshop is looking for an Architectural Woodworker / Journeyman for our affiliate company, CWK Associates based in Longmont, CO.

Duties and Responsibilities: As an Architectural Woodworker / Journeyman you will play a crucial role in crafting and manufacturing high-quality wooden components for various architectural and cabinetry projects. Your work will contribute to the creation of functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for clients. This role requires a keen eye for detail, precision craftsmanship, and a passion for working with wood and other required materials.

Location: This position is located in Longmont, CO – onsite work is required

Pay: $20-$30 / hour
Individual compensation is based on various factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Woodworking: Craft and assemble wooden components such as cabinets, doors, furniture, and architectural details according to project specifications.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and plans to ensure accurate execution of designs.
  • Materials Selection: Choose appropriate wood materials, veneers, and hardware for each project, considering durability, aesthetics, and budget constraints.
  • Machine Operation: Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and equipment safely and efficiently to shape, cut, and join wood.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing and installation processes to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety guidelines and practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, designers, and other team members to achieve project goals and meet client expectations.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience as a woodworker or cabinetmaker.
  • Proficiency in woodworking techniques, machinery, and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Knowledge of wood types, finishes, and joinery methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Safety-conscious mindset.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and repeatedly.
  • The ability to stand continuously for up to 2 hours at a time.

  • Lifting, carrying, moving things, standing, reaching, crouching, kneeling

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, fumes, and loud noises. Employees are always required to wear P.P.E. while on the manufacturing floor, including safety toe shoes.
