Diggerland Usa is Hiring an Equipment Mechanic Near West Berlin, NJ

Description:

Diggerland USA Americas only Construction Theme & Water Park is looking for an Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and work on Diesel, Gas, and Amusement attractions in a fun and unique atmosphere. Our fleet of equipment includes a mix of traditional construction equipment, amusement rides, and pool equipment.
Job duties to include, but no limited to:

  • Maintain fleet of over 75 machines including support vehicles such as utility trucks and trailers.
  •  Insures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pumps, and tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve any mechanical issues which may arise.
  • Lubricate (grease) machinery as needed on a daily basis.
  •  Follow/read/comprehend diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions of equipment or rides.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling equipment using hand and power tools ​
  • ​Examining form and texture of parts to Insure integrity
  • Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately
  • Maintain tools and work place so that shop conditions are neat and orderly
  • Perform daily inspections using checklists and reporting condition to Maintenance Manager and Operations Manager
  • Knowledge of Diesel engines and 12V systems for diagnosis preferred and problem solving skills.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  •  Ability to work in outdoor environmental conditions; hot, cold, rain, snow.
  • ​Ability to move from under equipment from bending, kneeling, squatting to standing.
  •  Ability to communicate through email, phone, text.
  •  Be on call to respond to emergency ride maintenance issues when needed.
  •  Some welding experience.
  • Work schedule will include weekends when we are operational.
