A Class A CDL Driver is responsible for various functions including, but not limited to:

• Responsible for safely transporting construction equipment and materials.
• Able to operate multiple types of on road commercial vehicles, including semi tractor trailers, water trucks, sweeper trucks, etc.
• Ensures vehicles and equipment are operated safely and efficiently on specified routes in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Monitoring and ensuring all load securement policies are being followed.
• Ensures daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and paperwork is completed.
• Keep accurate paperwork to track the location of each item every time it is moved to a new location.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle daily.
• Responsible for general and specific safety practices; following company safety manual procedures and cooperating with safety representatives in a positive, pro-active manner.
• Maintain positive company image in appearance, conduct, and communication.
• Other duties as assigned.

 Do you have what it takes?

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, additional construction certifications/training preferred.
• Valid Class A driver’s license required.
• Hazmat a plus.
• Tanker endorsement preferred.
• 5 years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving.
• Familiarity with virtual logbooks
• Clean driving record with no moving violations
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Skilled at driving large vehicles.
• Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly, overnight travel required.
• Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.
