The Document Prep Scanner Technician verifies that hard copy documents are prepared for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, rubber bands, and folds. Perform a quality review of the prepared records prior to scanning. Scans documents by feeding pages into the scanner. Resize and format images using scanner software to create a mirror image of the paper document and improve overall readability. Compare the electronic version and paper version to verify the wholeness of the scanning task. Review scanned images for quality and verify that all pages have been scanned. Ensure that the natural order of each file and/or multipage document is maintained. Performs indexing data entry in document image software. Resolves issues with scanning and indexing.
The Document Scanner is responsible for efficiently and accurately prepping, indexing, and scanning documents into specific imaging formats for the Didlake client database and performing a quality check of hard copy records.
