Dickinson Center, Inc. has provided a continuum of mental health, intellectual disability, and Children's Prevention services in Northwestern Pennsylvania since 1958. Dickinson Center, Inc. is a progressive non-profit organization with almost 200 employees and an annual operating budget of nearly $10 million.

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Part-Time (20 hrs/week) Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting individuals with serious mental illness diagnoses in their journey toward recovery and community integration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will be friendly, non judgmental , creative and flexible in providing group and individual sessions on topics such as coping skills, effective communication skills, social skills and decision making. Candidate should have a solid understanding of Recovery and the mental health skill building process of learn, practice and use in the community of choice.

Education and Experience

• A bachelor's degree and 2 years work experience in mental health direct service, 1 year of which must be work experience in psychiatric rehabilitation services.
• Bachelor's degree with academic concentration in an area relevant to the position, OR
• An associate's degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service, OR
• A CPS Certificate and 1 additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service.
• A high school diploma or equivalency and two years of work experience in human services, which must include one year of mental health direct care experience.

Certifications & Licenses

• CPRP certification is preferred; shall seek to obtain within 2 years of hire in the program.
• Valid driver's license.
