TRANSPORTATION AM/PM SUPERVISOR

Proactively oversee, direct, and coordinate the completion of daily deliveries and ensure the driver’s end of the day process is compliant with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Direct supervision of transportation staff - CDL and Non-CDL Drivers, Fleet Coordinator, Dispatch, and other administrative staff. Ensure employees are properly trained and following procedure. Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate with other departments to resolve issues.

Work with the Fleet Coordinator, drivers, leasing companies and other vendors to ensure vehicles and delivery equipment are safely maintained and available.

Interview and road test applicants. Assist with coordinating new employee training.

Fill in for and/or assist delivery drivers as needed to complete hand truck deliveries.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have or willing to obtain a CDL A or B license
• Must have 3 to 5 years’ management or supervisory experience, preferably in the food industry supervising drivers at a DOT regulated company.
• Must be structured and detail oriented yet flexible enough to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with common sense and good reasoning abilities. Ideal candidates must have strong interpersonal to be able to direct and communicate with drivers, internal departments, vendors, and customers.
• Have a proven track record for streamlining, organizing, and training, etc.
• Knowledge of internet cloud-based transportation routing and/or dispatch software, handheld scanners, and printers

COMPENSATION: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year - SALARY is based on supervisory, delivery, knowledge of DOT regulations and use of hand-held scanning experience.
