Diamond Peak Health Care is Hiring a Caregiver / Med Tech Near Pocatello, ID

Diamond Peak Health Care is now hiring a full-time NOC shift (10:00pm-6:00am) caregiver/med tech.

Rotating weekends are a MUST. Starting pay is $15.00 an hour, with a $1.00 NOC shift differential.

MEDICATION TECHNICIAN/CAREGIVER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Cleaning of the home, kitchen, all bedrooms, and bathrooms

· Deep cleaning (may require the use of a ladder) scrubbing the sink, toilet, tub, shower, sweeping and mopping the floors, cleaning blinds, light fixtures, window seals, washing walls when needed, etc.

· Laundry

· Cooking and the ability to read and follow a menu

· Food preparation

· Deliver routine daily medications, either prescription or non-prescription, to patients.

· Coordinate with the Oversight RN to assist with patient care and medications.

· Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications.

· Record medication dosages and times.

· Observe patients and document changes in their condition.

· Gather samples for analysis when needed

· Passing medications according to the MAR

· Completing a med count and shift pass down at the end of shift

· Any charting that may be necessary

· Document any behaviors, ADL’s/Night needs, problems/changes, any MD appointments and new orders

· Respond to patient emergency call signals, and be able to identify patient needs

· Performing personal cares, such as showering, toileting when needed, etc.

· Must adhere to health and safety standards

· Must know and follow all IDAPA rules of a Residential Assisted Living Facility

· To ensure all standards and guidelines for both residents and staff are followed

· To ensure the health and safety of all residents and staff under his/her supervision

· To provide emotional and spiritual support for residents and staff under his/her supervision

· To consult the Administrator on any situation where the proper action may be unclear

· To assist in other duties as requested and/or assigned by the Administrator

· To represent and promote Diamond Peak Health Care in a positive direction

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be 18 years or older

· Must be able to pass a Criminal History Unit Background check through Health and Welfare

· Medication Assistance Certification (preferred, but The Company will help you get)

· CPR/First Aid (preferred, but The Company will help you get)

· Must be able to work weekends and holidays when scheduled

· Must be physically capable of performing personal care tasks

· Must have the ability to work alone on your shift and manage up to 15 residents

  • 8 hour shift
  • Holidays
  • Overnight shift
  • Weekends as needed
