Parts Director – Diamond Mowers

The Parts Director is responsible for collaborating on the overall parts strategy and the successful day to day execution of the Parts business plan, including inventory management, sales program, and order fulfillment. This individual will have experience working with inventory management, and ideally experience in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading teams. The Parts Director will report to the Executive Vice President.

 Strategic & Tactical Planning

Critical Tasks

• Collaborate with leadership in the development of a near and long-term strategy to achieve growth targets
• Develop competitive assessment and identify opportunities to differentiate Diamond Parts business 
• Responsible for daily execution all aspects of Parts business:
  1. Forecasting and Planning for inventory
  2. Managing independent inventory location
  3. Sales program
  4. Packaging and shipping 
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue expansion
• Coordination across Diamond business units to accomplish established goals
• Drive optimization of eCommerce program 

Inventory

Critical Tasks

• Develop and manage an accurate inventory program working in collaboration with Operations, Purchasing and IT
• Develop forecasts for inventory levels based on historical trends and WG / Parts ratios 
• Support 24 hours Parts program for “down” customers
• Establish programs to ensure inventory levels are consistent with Diamond goals 

Sales and Customer Service

Critical Tasks

• Oversee sales program to ensure business growth consistent with Diamond goals
• Ensure Diamond customers are receiving world class customer service when working with Diamond 
• Collaborate with Field sales & marketing leadership to increase parts sales in concert with WG targets
• Assist in the implementation of an eCommerce sales channel

Order Fulfillment

Critical Tasks

• Oversee warehouse and staff to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
• Identify opportunities to reduce labor and packaging costs while remaining focused on customer satisfaction 
• Coordinate shipping and logistics with WG programs 

All other duties are performed as requested 

Prior Experience (preferred):

• 7 years’ experience in similar roles for OEM or dealer service programs. 
• Experience building and leading teams.

• Software Knowledge: Infor, Salesforce, Sage, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Teams, Outlook)
