Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. As a Driver you will report directly to the COO, and will also work closely with other Nurse, and other Clinical Staff. As a Driver you will assist by helping transport clients to and from events, facility transfers, medication pick up and perform other duties assigned. As a Driver you will be required to follow traffic laws, correctly follow the right route, maintain, and perform scheduled and regular all company vehicle maintenance This is a crucial role that requires attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Job Functions:

• Transports clients and performs community errands as assigned and ensures that all clients who use the transportation are returned safely to the facility.
• Ensuring to meet pick-up times and deadlines.
• Follow traffic laws.
• Maintain log for vehicle service.
• Maintenance daily of vehicles used for client transportation.
• Maintain log sheet for client appointments made.
• Ensures all vehicle inspection tags, license and insurance cards are current and displayed properly.
• Maintains clean appearance of all Diamond House fleet of vehicle(s) by performing/scheduling regular interior/exterior washing and cleaning.
• Responds immediately and appropriately to all accidents and emergencies.
• Reports mechanical needs and repairs and assists in coordination of necessary vehicle maintenance and repair services such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Valid CA Driver’s License required.

· Safe driving record in accordance with company policy.

· High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

· Excellent Communication and presentation skill.

· You must be able to work independently and must be flexible and be able to multi-task.

· You must have good communication skills to interact with both clients as well as staff.

· Will need good boundaries, maintain confidentiality, have good ethics and work with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds.

· Pass DOT test - Urine Drugs Screen, Background check, Physical and TB.

· CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test required.
