Join a team of dedicated individuals working towards helping people with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. We are a substance use treatment center that provides all levels of care to include 24 bed residential treatment along with partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, with locations in Sacramento and Elk Grove. You will be part of a team providing more individualized care in a home like environment supporting individuals during a difficult time where they will be requiring support both with their medical and substance use needs.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Counselor functions in conjunction with the clinical team, assisting with the daily process of patient care. Alcohol and drug counselors, as a core member of the health care team, must demonstrate the ability to understand and react effectively to the unique needs of multiple patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but a High School Diploma, with experience in the health services field, would be considered. Those considered can be licensed as RADT,RADT II, CADC I, CADC II . Those with mental health technician backgrounds may also apply Must have a good understanding of the addictive process and recovery skills and a minimum of one (1) year experience in the healthcare field, mental health or in addiction.

Must have CA Drivers License, CPR/First Aid and TB. Must be able to pass a background check and a urine drug screen. Must be able to work independently, must be flexible and be able to multi-task, have good communication skills, good boundaries, maintain confidentiality, have good ethics and work with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds. Computer literate.

Hours are 12 hour shifts, we have full time, part time and on-call opportunities , weekends may be required.
