Diamond Healthcare Services is Hiring a Full Time Hospice Clinical Director - Registered Nurse RN Near Warren, MI

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and motivated Hospice Clinical Director, RN Full-TIME. This position would be responsible for providing quality care to our hospice patients and families by supervising, guiding and directing staff. Field work and some on-call would also be expected.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Five years of experience in nursing, preferably in hospice or community health.
  • Two years of hospice experience (preferred)
  • Minimum of two years of management experience.
  • Licensed to practice professional nursing in the state.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the appropriate skills for communicating with all ages.

JOB DUTIES/KNOWLEDGE
  • Provides guidance and assistance to the clinical staff in matters relating to the delivery of hospice services to assure those quality standards are maintained.
  • Ensures staff is following infection control prevention and control.
  • Assist with policies and procedures among hospice related staff.
  • Participates in all activities relevant to the professional services furnished, including the development of qualifications and the assignment of personnel.
  • Ensures qualified staff is recruited, hired, oriented and assigned.
  • Handles disciplinary situations and employee grievances.
  • Manages and evaluates the hospice program to ensure quality of service and maintenance of hospice policies standards and assists with annual performance evaluation of all professional staff.
  • Provides expert guidance and assistance to the Administrator in all matters relating to the delivery of hospice services to assure that quality standards are maintained. Works cooperatively with the Administrator, Community Liaison, and other department directors to publicize services and maintain community relations.
  • Provides leadership in planning for health service staff education programs and encourages continuing education courses and seminars for all personnel. Ensures continuing education/in-service requirements are met for all paraprofessional and /or professional staff.
  • Provides for maintenance of nursing and medical supplies and equipment.
  • Is available, or ensures a similarly qualified alternate is available, at all times during operating hours.
  • Serves as back up in the absence of the Administrator.
  • Assists the Administrator in budget development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Assists in the development and interpretation of the philosophy and objectives of the hospice.
  • Participates as a member of the Hospice interdisciplinary team conferences.
