Diamond Foundry is seeking a skilled Technician to join our Surface Finishing team in Fremont, CA. As a Wafer Cleaning Technician in the Research and Development group, you will join a small group focused on Quality, Efficiency & Cost regarding Single Crystal Diamond wafer cleaning development. This position supports the Engineering effort through preparation of and operation of wafer-cleaning equipment, and related metrology tools.

The incumbent will be expected to work day shifts and 1 day on weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Assists process engineering in developmental and improvement projects on cleaning and inspection of diamond and Si wafers.
• Set up, operate, and clean wafer cleaning equipment including preparing wafer cleaning chemicals.
• Clean diamond/Si wafers and samples.
• Inspect and measure the post-cleaning wafers with WLI and AFM etc. metrology tools.
• Update system and stakeholders on backlog and progress.

• Associates or bachelor’s degree relevant to chemistry, chemical engineering, and/or materials science and engineering.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working in Cleaning, and/or polishing environment.
• Knowledge of surface Measurement/Inspection techniques.
• Attention to detail and good time management.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
