Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will provide support to the dental team and ensure excellent patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, taking X-rays, maintaining patient records, and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, passing instruments and materials to the dentist
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred
- X-Ray certification required
- Proficiency in dental software systems Curve Dental Prefered
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding principles
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
