Overview: As the Educational Director of Clinical Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the educational and clinical programs within our organization. This position requires a combination of leadership, clinical expertise, and educational administration skills. The ideal candidate will hold licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), or possess a Doctorate in Psychology (PhD) or Education (EdD), with a strong preference for candidates possessing both clinical and educational qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Development and Oversight:
    • Develop and implement specialized educational and clinical programs for students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education services.
    • Ensure that programs align with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodate the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  2. Staff Management and Training:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise clinical and educational staff, providing specialized guidance and support in the provision of services to students with disabilities.
    • Facilitate professional development opportunities focused on special education best practices, including completing Full and Individual Evaluations (FIEs), developing IEPs, and navigating ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings.
  3. Clinical Services Coordination:
    • Coordinate the delivery of clinical services, including psychological assessments, counseling, therapy, and intervention programs.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in the provision of clinical services.
  4. Collaboration and Networking:
    • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including parents, educators, community organizations, and other professionals, to support the holistic development of students.
    • Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations to enhance the scope and quality of educational and clinical services.
  5. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to student outcomes, program effectiveness, and service utilization.
    • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders and inform decision-making in special education programming and services.
  6. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Monitor program quality and compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and professional guidelines.
    • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of educational and clinical services.

Qualifications:

  • A doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) or Education (EdD), with licensure as a Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), or eligibility for licensure.
  • Prior experience in educational administration, clinical supervision, and program development within an educational setting, with a focus on special education services.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams, particularly in the context of special education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with demonstrated proficiency in facilitating Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other collaborative processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing the provision of educational and clinical services,
  • including expertise in educational due process and litigation related to special education.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational and clinical practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including individuals with special needs or behavioral challenges.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices in clinical psychology and education.
  • Advanced training or certification in areas such as school psychology, counseling psychology, or special education.
  • Previous experience in grant writing, fundraising, or resource development.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical methods.
