Fun and rewarding opportunity to work with local-area youth (boys and girls, ages 6-14) to promote the sport of lacrosse. You'll be responsible for coaching a recreational or competitive team of 16 - 20 lacrosse players. Approximately 5 hours per week (includes practices and games). 16-Week Season from February 1st to June 1st. Must be able to pass CA Background Check. $16 - $20 per hour compensation, depending upon background and experience.

Diablo Valley Lacrosse is the first and oldest youth lacrosse club in Contra Costa County. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and development of the sport of lacrosse. Many of our players and coaches advance to play lacrosse at the top colleges and universities throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:
- Coach and instruct boys and girls (ages 6-14) in recreational and competitive lacrosse
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance skills and performance
- Provide guidance and support to athletes
- Teach and enforce rules and regulations of the sport
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of athletes, providing feedback for improvement
- Plan and organize practice sessions, drills, and competitions
- Ensure the safety of participants during training sessions and events
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive behavior among athletes
- Maintain equipment and facilities used for training purposes

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in playing or coaching lacrosse
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate athletes
- Ability to manage behavior and maintain discipline among participants
- Certification in first aid/CPR is a plus
- Experience working with students or individuals of different ages and skill levels
- Degree in physical education or a related field is preferred but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 6 per week
