Job description
Position Summary:
This position provides clinical support to several of our offices setting patient appointments, maintaining records and providing customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Schedules appointments appropriately in MDofficeManager
· Maintains current patient information
· Provides patients with info on HIPPA and insures compliance
· Maintains patient electronic records
· Insures patients are informed of changes in office policies
· Consistently verifies patient insurance information
· Follows scheduling instructions
· Consistently verifies insurance for eligibility and pre-certification if need
· Maintains open line of communication with all staff
· Proven experience going the extra mile to solve complex customer inquiries
· Customer service experience desired
· A consistently positive approach to your work that is rooted in a businesslike professionalism
· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
· 2 years experience of demonstrated performance in a goal-driven customer-focused environment preferred
· Strong problem-solving skills
Workplace Experience:
Two years call center or medical office experience and ability to communicate well
Equipment and Skills Training:
Competent in the use of computers, printers, facsimile machines, copy machines, business phones, document scanners and other office equipment and supplies.
Physical Effort:
Must be able to sit, stand, communicate in English, both verbally and in written form, squat, reach overhead, and operate a computer/keyboard and heard instruction as appropriate.
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent
