Hill Air Force Base, UT (ON-SITE/OFFICE)

Smoothstack is currently recruiting for a Software Developer PLM SME for an onsite position at Hill AFB, Utah. This position requires an Active Secret Clearance to be considered. You will lead and participate in the design, development, and maintenance of PLM software solutions, ensuring they align with requirements and industry standards. You will collaborate with clients, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their PLM needs and translate them into technical specifications. You will be responsible for providing technical support to clients, addressing issues, debugging, and resolving system failures in a timely manner. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including other developers, project managers, and business analysts, to deliver high-quality PLM solutions within established timelines. You will develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to identify and rectify software bugs and issues. In addition you will design and manage databases for storing and retrieving product data, ensuring data accuracy, security, and integrity; optimize database performance. You will proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues or challenges with PLM software and provide timely and effective solutions. You will find ways to improve and optimize PLM software and processes to enhance efficiency, productivity and conduct thorough testing and debugging of PLM software to ensure its functionality and usability.

Qualified candidates will have the following education, experience and clearance level to be considered:

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT related field or equivalent professional experience.

• Ten (10) or more years of experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION:

• Siemens Xcelerator Academy Teamcenter

• Active Secret Clearance or higher required to be considered

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to design effective solutions.

• Familiarity with one or more programming languages (ex: Python, R, JavaScript, C#, Java, etc.).

• Experienced with code development and deployment through dev, QA, and production environments.

• Effective team-based communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency creating and using unit tests.
