Description
Leidos is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist / Senior Technical Writer to join a high performing Agile program using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology. The program provides system engineering, development, test, integration, and operational support to a large, fast-paced program, and is infusing new technology and adding advanced capabilities while continuing to support an on-going mission and operational system.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
The selected individual will be responsible for preparation, review, revision, and quality assurance of all activities required to successfully develop and publish program deliverables in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) and Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL). She/he will ensure documents conform to program standards and Data Item Description (DID) requirements. The ideal candidate will have recent in-depth experience creating templates using styles and formats in MS Word, handling multiple documentation efforts simultaneously, and will have a passion for quality. Unrelenting self-motivation is essential, and strong focus and attention on detail and task completion is critical! The selected individual will be responsible for formatting documentation to adhere to program template and deliverable requirements, performing quality assurance reviews on contractual documentation, and reviewing and submitting contract deliverables and reports. She/he must work harmoniously with deliverable authors to ensure customer comments are addressed and the end product is of the utmost quality.
Security Clearance Requirement:

• Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph to be considered for this role.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Technical, Writing, or related discipline, and at least twelve (12) years of relevant experience, or master’s degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Must be exceptionally proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, & Project).
• Must have impeccable technical writing and grammar skills (punctuation, spelling, usage).
• Must have at least four (4) years of experience preparing in-depth technical publications to include writing, editing, illustration, and quality assurance review.
• Must have experience working on a large, technical program in a QA, Technical Writer, or technical role (System Engineer, Software Engineer, Test Engineer, etc.).
• Must have current or recent experience within a technical/cyber security operational organization.
• Must have experience successfully establishing positive and productive working relationships with technical staff across all levels.
• Must be comfortable working with multiple sets of complex technical documentation simultaneously, in a fast-moving environment.
• Must be creative and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be exceptionally organized and have effective planning, prioritizing, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices.
Must be capable of performing high quality work both independently and with a team.Preferred Qualifications:

• Multi-year experience writing/reviewing technical documentation following DoD standards.
• Current, extensive experience with advanced features of MS Word.
• Experience in graphic design.
• Direct, in-depth experience working with multi-disciplinary technical development teams.
• Experience working on an Agile program and team.

Pay Range: Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00
